Privacy Policy

Last reviewed: 19 July 2026

This policy is maintained by the operator of LegalCalc Ontario to explain how the website handles information. It applies to the calculators, guides, contact form, and related pages on this site.

Calculator entries are processed in your browser

The calculators on this website perform their calculations in your browser. Amounts, dates, payments and other values you enter into a calculator are not sent to us as calculator data and are not stored in our database.

As with any website, ordinary hosting infrastructure may still log basic technical information when your browser loads a page - for example, your IP address, browser and device information, the URL you requested, and the date and time of the request. That information is used for security, abuse prevention, and normal operation of the service.

Contact form information

If you submit the contact form, we store the name, email address, and message you provide, together with your browser's user-agent string and the submission time. We use this information to reply to you, to keep a record of the exchange, and to help detect and prevent abuse of the form.

Contact-form records are stored in a Supabase-hosted database that the operator uses as the managed database provider. Supabase processes the data on the operator's behalf under its terms of service and data-processing terms.

Do not send confidential or privileged information through the contact form. Messages travel over the internet, are stored in a shared database, and could be seen by the operator or by the operator's service providers acting on their behalf. Sending a message does not create a lawyer-client relationship and does not create a duty of confidentiality.

Retention. Contact-form records are generally retained for up to 12 months after the last substantive interaction. Messages may be deleted sooner where no longer needed, or kept longer where reasonably required for security, legal, tax, or record-keeping purposes.

Cookies and consent categories

We use strictly necessary cookies to run the site. With your consent, we may also set cookies in two optional categories:

You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer.

Third-party service providers

The operator's infrastructure providers process application hosting and the database used for contact-form messages. When advertising or analytics categories are enabled with your consent, the corresponding third parties receive the information those services need in order to function (for example, page views and cookies they set).

Your requests and applicable rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of contact-form records the operator holds about you. The operator will respond as required by applicable privacy law. Please submit your request through the Feedback & Corrections form. Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
