Who this site is for

LegalCalc Ontario is a free, independent resource for tenants, landlords, self-represented litigants, clerks, paralegals, students, and anyone who wants to understand a common Ontario legal calculation before speaking with a licensed professional.

How our calculations are reviewed

Each calculator uses the statute, regulation, or official rate table named on its page. When a rule changes or an official rate is updated, we revise the tool, refresh the linked source, and update the review date shown on the page. Reviewed for general legal information. We do not claim independent certification.

What stays in your browser

Every calculator runs entirely in your browser. The amounts, dates, and payment entries you type are not sent to us and are not stored anywhere on our servers. Closing the tab discards them.

Contact messages are stored

If you use our Feedback & Corrections form, the name, email, and message you submit are stored in our database so we can reply. We also store the browser user agent for spam-mitigation purposes. See our Privacy Policy for detail.

Corrections

If you find an error in a calculator or guide, please tell us through the Feedback & Corrections form. Our approach to corrections is set out in the Editorial Policy.
